Windows 3.1
It was released to manufacturing on April 6, 1992, as a successor to Windows 3.0. The last Windows 16-bit operating environment and it can run more RAM in comparison with its predecessors.
Windows NT 3.1
The first major release of the Windows NT operating system developed by Microsoft, released on July 27, 1993. A 32-bit operating system that retained a desktop environment familiar to Windows 3.1.
Windows for Workgroups 3.1
The first version of Windows for Workgroups, 3.1, was released on October 27, 1992. It allowed users to share files, use print servers, and chat online.
Windows 3.11
Released on November 8, 1993, and was introduced with repairs for network problems which were present on Windows 3.1 as a minor update
Windows for Workgroups 3.11

Windows NT 3.5
Was a major release of the Windows NT operating system developed by Microsoft and oriented towards businesses. It was released on September 21, 1994, as the successor to Windows NT 3.1 with integrated Winsock and TCP/IP support.
Windows NT 3.51
Was a major release of the Windows NT operating system geared towards businesses. The third version of Windows NT and was released on May 30, 1995, eight months following the release of Windows NT 3.5. The most significant enhancement offered in this release was that it provides client/server support for inter-operating with Windows 95.
Windows 95
The first operating system in the 9x family, it is the successor to Windows 3.1x, and was released to manufacturing on July 14, 1995. The first version of Microsoft Windows to include the start button. Windows 95 merged Microsoft's formerly separate MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows products.
Windows NT 4.0
It is the direct successor to Windows NT 3.51, and was released to manufacturing on July 31, 1996. The successor to Windows NT 3.51, and introduced the user interface of Windows 95 to the Windows NT family, including the Windows shell, Windows NT Explorer, and the use of My Computer.
Windows 98
It was released to manufacturing on May 15, 1998, and generally to retail on June 25, 1998. Like its predecessor, it is a hybrid 16-bit and 32-bit with the boot stage based on MS-DOS
Windows 98 Second Edition
An updated version of Windows 98 released on May 5, 1999, and it includes many bug fixes, improved WDM audio and modem support, improved USB support, the replacement of Internet Explorer 4.0 with Internet Explorer 5.0.
Windows 2000
A major release of the Windows NT operating system designed for businesses. the direct successor to Windows NT 4.0, and was released December 15, 1999. It was Microsoft's business operating system and introduced NTFS 3.0, Encrypting File System, as well as basic and dynamic disk storage. Support for people with disabilities was improved over Windows NT 4.0.
Windows Me
It is the successor to Windows 98, and was released on September 14, 2000. It was Microsoft's main operating system for home users until the introduction of its successor Windows XP in October 2001. Tailored for home PC users, and included Internet Explorer 5.5, Windows Media Player 7, and the new Windows Movie Maker software.
Windows XP
It was released on October 25, 2001. It is a direct upgrade to its predecessors, Windows 2000 for high-end and business users and Windows Me for home users. It increased performance and stability, a more intuitive user interface, improved hardware support, and expanded multimedia capabilities.
Windows Vista
It became generally available on January 30, 2007, on the Windows Marketplace, the first release of Windows to be made available through a digital distribution platform. Itta introduced the updated graphical user interface and visual style Aero, Windows Search, redesigned networking, audio, print, and display sub-systems, and new multimedia tools such as Windows DVD Maker among other changes.
Windows 7
This version became generally available on October 22, 2009. It is the successor to Windows Vista, released nearly three years earlier. With improvements on the Windows Aero user interface, a redesigned taskbar, and new window management features. Other new areas were added to the operating system, including libraries, the new file-sharing system HomeGroup.
Windows 8
A release of the Windows NT operating system, and was made available for download via MSDN and TechNet on August 15, 2012 and three months after its initial release, Windows 8 finally made its first retail appearance on October 26, 2012. The changes included a touch-optimized Windows shell and start screen based on, integration with online services, the Windows Store, and a new keyboard shortcut for screenshots
Windows 8.1
It was released for retail sale on October 17, 2013, about a year after the retail release of its predecessor, and made available for download via MSDN and Technet and available as a free upgrade for retail copies of Windows 8 and Windows RT usersvia the Windows Store. Some changes included an improved Start screen, more bundled apps, Internet Explorer 11, a restoration of a visible Start button on the taskbar, and the ability to restore the previous behavior of opening the user's desktop on login instead of the Start screen.
Windows 10
The first version was released in July 2015 with an updated start menu, the introduction of Cortana, a virtual assistant, to the desktop version of Windows. Featuring a new web browser, Microsoft Edge, that replaced Internet Explorer as the default browser in Windows and improved multitasking, including virtual desktops.
Windows 11
The original version of Windows 11 was released in October 2021 with many updated features including, redesigned and new Efficiency mode feature in Task Manager, re-added the drag and drop feature on the taskbar, re-introduced tablet-optimized taskbar, added support for tabs in the Notepad app, and a host of other improvements.
The most current version to date is Windows 11 22H2 released October 10, 2023.
There is currently in the process for a possible release of Windows 12 sometime in 2024, but no confirmed date as of yet. If and when is does emerge unto the scene I will add it to the list.
